SelecTech, Inc., a leader in the manufacture of innovative flooring products from recycled materials, recently launched a special Central America division to better serve customers and prospects south of the U.S. Border. The new division will start its initial efforts by strengthening existing partnerships with flooring dealers and distributors in Mexico.

“We have sold flooring to a number of automobile manufactures in the U.S., many with plants in Mexico. Some of those customers have actually taken our flooring from their U.S. plant and brought it to Mexico,” said Thomas Ricciardelli, president of SelecTech. “That’s not only a compliment to the quality of our flooring but a tribute to its primary benefit: easy installation.”

SelecTech flooring—commercial, residential and ESD–employs a breakthrough interlocking technology that dramatically reduces installation times, completely bypassing the need for adhesives and floor prep to install or replace flooring. Because machinery does not have to be completely moved or removed for installation, downtime for businesses can be minimized or even eliminated altogether.

SelecTech’s no stranger to the market south of the border. Company representatives recently attended the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA)’s conference in Guadalajara, Mexico.

“We met a lot of people at the conference in November. Many took a particular interest in our ESD flooring,” said Ricciardelli. “With all the electronic components installed in vehicles today, manufacturing plants need ESD flooring in most if not all areas to minimize static electricity that could damage electronic products before going into the automobiles.”

SelecTech’s StaticStop and Freestyle ESD products greatly minimize static electricity and are made using recycled material and are 100 percent recyclable. These materials create a static-controlled environment that’s perfect for industries that significantly utilize electronics and sensitive data like electronics manufacturing, communications, aerospace, biotech, healthcare industries, and other high-tech industries.
